Located on the main floor of our Market Street building, the Toni and Stuart B. Young Gallery presents exhibitions showcasing the work of DCAD students and contemporary visiting artists from Delaware and beyond. Highlights include the annual Capstone (Graduation) exhibition each May and the bi-annual fall Faculty and Staff exhibition.

DCAD focused exhibitions are complemented by two to three visiting artist exhibitions each year that celebrate and support the Delaware and Mid-Atlantic creative community through exhibitions that represent a range of media.

CURRENT EXHIBITION

PROJECT X Exhibition Fundraiser

February 24 – April 20, 2023

PROJECT X features the work of 12 emerging to mid-career artists with diverse voices and who have demonstrated impact within the lens of art and community. In keeping with Delaware College of Art Design’s commitment to empowering creatives to take artistic risks, the artists in PROJECT X further promote dialogue between artists, institutions of higher learning, and community.

Featured artists: Stephanie Boateng, Kimberly Canfield, COLLAZO, Persis Jackson, Chloe McEldowney, Jae Martin, Brian Mills, Jess Owens-Young, Lauren E. Peters, Jennifer Small,  DeVaughn Turner, and Yonnie.

Artworks are available for purchase in support of the artists and DCAD’s student scholarship fund – a great opportunity to support both the artists and DCAD students!

Join us for our Annual Liberal Arts Symposium featuring presentations by DCAD graduating students.

6 PM – 7 PM

Gallery Curator Josh Hollingsworth with moderate a discussion with PROJECT X artists. The artists will also be available to talk about their work.

 

UPCOMING EXHIBITION

2023 Capstone Exhibition  

April 28 – May 9, 2023  

View works by DCAD’s Class of 2023 for their capstone projects. This exhibition celebrates the talents of these emerging creatives in the fields of animation, illustration, graphic design, photography, and fine arts. This not-to-be-missed exhibition offers an opportunity to celebrate DCAD’s students graduating with their Associates of Fine Arts degree and applaud them for all they have accomplished.  

 

THE 2nd FLOOR GALLERY

DCAD’s new 2nd Floor Gallery features a selection of recent work by Valetta.

Valetta is a graduate of Pratt Institute, New York, and has done graduate work at Tyler School of Art and the University of Pennsylvania. She has been included in numerous juried and group shows in cities across the United States and Europe. Valetta has had solo shows throughout the Delaware Valley in such venues as the Widener Art Museum in Chester, the Port of History Museum in Philadelphia and the Allentown Art Museum.
