PCA&D and Moore have agreed to streamline direct admission into one of their programs of study with a simplified application process. Both schools have agreed to accept currently enrolled DCAD students (students who successfully completed their first year at DCAD) whose GPA meets their admission requirements.

Both schools will also provide tuition assistance equal to DCAD’s tuition for at least two semesters. Housing and fees may vary.

To be admitted to any other schools you must meet their admission requirements and go through their standard application process.

A teach-out is an agreement with another school to accept all of your earned credits. Accepted credits can be applied to an AFA degree comparable to what DCAD offered. The teach-out agreement also offers a comparable price and time frame to complete your AFA degree. You can pursue the same degree and major you were pursuing at DCAD.

Both Moore and PCA&D are able to award Associate degrees. You can complete your two-year AFA degree at either and/or plan to stay to complete your bachelor’s degree.

All credits earned at DCAD will be accepted by the teach-out schools. Transcripts must be requested to be transferred.

Students who are currently enrolled at DCAD (who have successfully completed their first year at DCAD) will just need to contact the teach-out school to make arrangements for admission/transfer.

Both schools have agreed to accept you if you are in good standing at DCAD and apply through the teach-out agreement.

Students who have been accepted or deposited to DCAD will need to apply via the standard process.

Originally a women’s college, Moore now accepts only students who were assigned female at birth or who self-identify as women, trans women, nonbinary, or gender-nonconforming at the time of application.

You would apply just like you did to DCAD. The college of your choice’s website will have application procedures and requirements.

Both schools have agreed to match the cost of DCAD’s tuition for currently enrolled DCAD students (students who have successfully completed their first year at DCAD), so cost to complete your AFA should be the same or similar as it would have been at DCAD.

Students are advised to complete their FAFSA. If students have already submitted the FAFSA, you will just need to make arrangements for the FAFSA information to be transferred to the teach-out school.

• you were enrolled when your school closed;
• you were on an approved leave of absence when your school closed; or
• your school closed within 180 days after you withdrew.

• You graduated or completed your program at the closed school.
• You withdrew more than 180 days before the school closed, unless you can demonstrate an exceptional circumstance.
• You’re completing or have graduated from a teach-out agreement at another school approved by the school’s accrediting agency – in this case, Moore or PCA&D.
