Thank you for your support of our 2014 Annual Scholarship Gala!
All were invited to ‘Make A Mark at DCAD,’ by contributing to a community painting, enjoying an open house and artwork demonstrations including screenprinting and a photo booth, a sale of impressive student artwork, and an auction of generously donated items. Did you particiapte in the community painting? Check out a fun time lapse video of the painting in progress, above, created by our Animation department.

Though DCAD has been making an impact on education, the arts, and downtown Wilmington for seventeen years now, the growing College still runs on a tight annual budget. The funds that DCAD’s Office of Development raise each year are critical to what we are able to offer to our students and the wider community. If you believe in DCAD’s mission of arts education and downtown revitalization, please consider supporting our work with a donation.
You can support DCAD in many ways: attend an exhibition opening and bring friends, buy a ticket to the spring gala, take a Continuing Education class, join a committee, support one of our student scholarships, or donate to the Annual Appeal. The DCAD community is growing and we want you to be part of this amazing institution, which remains the only professional school of art and design in the State of Delaware.

The Office of Development is available at 302.622.8867 ext. 107.
Bequests & Planned Giving
Reviewing your estate planning needs now can mean leaving a lasting legacy to DCAD in the future. The Office of Development is available to discuss with you the possibilities of bequests through your will, charitable annuities and charitable remainder trusts, as well as the option of simply designating DCAD as the beneficiary of your IRA or life insurance policy.
Many employers encourage charitable giving by offering to match your gift to a nonprofit such as DCAD. This match can double or even triple the amount of your donation. Your company’s matching eligibility can often be determined by contacting your personnel office, or contact DCAD’s Office of Development for assistance.
DCAD’s Annual Appeal
Now in its twelfth year, the Annual Appeal is DCAD’s largest source of unrestricted funds. By contributing to this fund, your support maintains student scholarship opportunities, our Artist Lecture Series, the presentation of exhibitions in our galleries, and the maintenance of our downtown buildings.
DCAD’s Scholarship Fund
The College raises funds annually for the nearly $1 million that it returns to students in the form of merit-based scholarships and need-based grants, 97 % of whom would not be able to attend college without financial aid. With the costs of higher education on the rise, it is more important than ever that DCAD's scholarship offerings remain attractive to prospective students and available to students who, without scholarship funding, might not otherwise be able to attend DCAD.
Stuart B. Young Scholarship Fund
In honor of Stuart B. Young, Esq., DCAD Chairman of the Board of Directors (2002-2010) and founding Chairman of the Board of Overseers (2000-2010), a scholarship has been established. As of Aug. 31, 2010, he retired and is now the Chairman Emeritus.
Monika Metrinko Scholarship Fund
