About the information DCAD collects
This web site is used only to help achieve DCAD’s educational mission. It is our policy to collect and store only the personally identifying information that visitors to our web site knowingly provide. If, while visiting this web site, you register for a class, apply for admission, submit a question or request other information from us, you may be asked to provide certain information, voluntarily, to us. DCAD generally asks for name, title, organization name, address, telephone, and email when you request information from us. In addition, when you access DCAD’s web site, DCAD will learn certain information about you, such as the name of the domain from which you access the Internet, the date and time you access our site, and the Internet address of the web site you used to link directly to our site.
The information we collect is used by us to contact visitors for informational purposes as requested by the visitor; to provide some types of online services; to improve the content of our web site; and, in the case of donors and alumni/ae, for further solicitation purposes. Other than as specified in this Policy, we will not share your personal information unless we have a reasonable belief that disclosure is necessary because it is required by law, to comply with legal process served on us, or to protect and defend the rights and/or property of DCAD or any third party.
If you supply us with your postal address or email address online you may receive periodic mailings or emails from us with information on news and upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such mailings or emails, please let us know by calling 302.622.8000. The same applies if you supply your phone number online.
DCAD’s student, alumni, donor and mailing lists are not for sale. When you become a student, alumnus or donor of DCAD, your name and mailing information will not be sold or otherwise transferred to a commercial organization.
This Policy became effective June 30, 2009. DCAD may change this Policy from time and time and will post any changes to this page, which DCAD encourages you to review periodically.
