Governor to unveil winning DCAD student logo designs and announce Downtown Development Districts

The Governor, accompanied by local officials, will be celebrating the designation of the district of Wilmington as a Downtown Development District in an official ceremony held on DCAD’s second floor space on Wednesday, January 14 at 9AM. During the ceremony, local officials will discuss the details of their plans for the District, as well as unveil the top three logo designs. Graphic Design second year student, Nicholas Carro was selected as the winner, as his logo design will be used to represent the DDD’s state-wide. Two additional logo designs created by DCAD Graphic Design student Samantha Silva were selected as second place.

Register today for DCAD's Drawing Marathon on January 17

Immerse yourself in 12 hours of figure drawing, painting or sculpting! DCAD will be hosting its eleventh Drawing Marathon on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 9AM to 9PM. Participants may choose to come for an hour or two, or stay for all 12. DCAD students place in Global StartUp Battle: Delaware
November 25th 2014

DCAD congratulates students Tristan Campos and Erin Rothback who made some very big moves during this past weekend's Global StartUp Battle: DelawareTristan's StartUp team, the Aster Center- a resource for people suffering from eating disorders, won the grand prize. Erin's team, Evolve365- a platform for personal trainers and clients to communicate outside of the gym- came in as a runner-up in this entrepreneurial weekend of businesss model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. Congrats to all participants!
