DCAD students exhibit at Delaware Museum of Natural History through April 19

The state’s only professional school of art and design and the state’s only museum of natural history teamed up this spring for Nature’s Bounty: Nature-Inspired Arta unique, curated exhibition showcasing work inspired by the natural world. The Delaware College of Art and Design displayed work by students in a variety of media from March 7 to April 19 at the Delaware Museum of Natural History. Art History Symposium to be held April 10, with Barnes Foundation Keynote Speaker

Mayor Unveils DCAD Designs for 2014 MidAtlantic Wine + Food Festival
March 14th 2014

For the second consecutive year, DCAD Graphic Design students created original poster designs for the MidAtlantic Wine + Food Festival™ to be held May 14-18, 2014. DCAD Graphic Design student Will Ramirez of Georgetown, Delaware was congratulated by the Mayor in a Wine Guild ceremony on March 12 as his poster was unveiled as the 2014 winner. DCAD student Eric Maldonaldo's design will also be utilized in promotional folders for the Festival. The five finalists in the poster design contest included: Katie Hinds of Elkton, MD, Erin Kelly of Collingswood, NJ, Megan McCabe of Monroe Twp, NJ, Eric Maldonado of Wilmington, DE and Katie Ng of Macungie, PA.

Fifth Annual High School Art Exhibition
February 10th 2014

Each spring, DCAD holds a showing of some of the best high school artwork. The 2013 exhibition featured work by students from 26 high schools in 6 different states. As a part of this public show, DCAD takes the opportunity to award scholarships to a select number of the most promising high school artists that participate in the exhibition. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held for participants and their families Thursday, March 6, from 5-8 p.m. The exhibition will open to the public Friday, March 7.
